There are many, inexpensive cameras that can be used to capture media. You can use Flip Cameras, or others like the Flip (Kodak & Sony). Students can use their phones or still cameras. A video camera can be borrowed from BOCES or district tech department.

Here is some information about Flips

Editing, if that is part of the project, can be tricky. Microsoft Movie Maker is an easy editing system similar to powerpoint. Flips come with a basic editing software or the raw media can be used for assessment.

Educators can also create video to share instruction with students as reinforcement, absent, or for assessment preparation. Using the record option on a Smartboard is a great way to capture notes and then post to a website to share with students.
